2010 Inter-Academy Golf Tournament
The Connecticut Golf Club
July 29, 2010

I wanted to let you guys know that planning for the Seventh Annual Inter Academy Golf Tournament is progressing well. So far, we have commitments from 26 players, including several CGC Club members who enjoy the association with fellow comrades in arms.
For the first time, we have a commitment for a USCGA foursome through the efforts of Sam Shriver, a pal of a fellow CGC member from NC! As you know, foursomes are limited, however the fact that we have several members participating allows them to sponsor additional foursomes.
This year’s event promises to be an exciting one, with all the teams ganging up to stop Navy’s dominance of past events – for those who are not counting, Navy has won five of the six tournaments to date! Will this be the year when luck overcomes intelligence and skill? The only way to find out is to be there! Fellow club-mate Mike Graham USMA ’92 is assembling a foursome of young Woo Poo studs to take the trophy away from Navy, a feat not accomplished since 2005 in a heart-breaking playoff!
As in the past, there will be an optional $20 skins game. Any donations for prizes, gifts of a promotional nature from employers are always appreciated.
Attached is the entry form, so get yours in along with your entry fee ASAP before we fill up the slots! The fee is very modest to play one of if not the foremost hidden gem of an exclusive golf course that offers a challenge for accomplished and novice players alike.
We look forward to seeing you in July.
Very respectfully,
Mike
